SNMP time outs and notifications

I used the custom Cisco sensor from the forum to add stackwise state to a bunch of switches. The problem I am having is the snmp response it taking a while and it incorrectly notifies that its down when it just takes too long for the response to come back. I have set the time between snmp queries to 4ms and changed a bunch of other snmp sensors to scan every 10 minutes to try and ensure the SNMP engine isnt being overwhelmed. Is there a way to get the sensor to default to "last known state" instead of error when it takes too long for snmp to respond? The devices pings are good but it still errors and alerts, then comes back a minute later.

Hello tvc15,

Thank you very much for your knowledge base post.

Please contact us directly via email, as it will simplify the further communication for sending logs and screenshots.

If your PRTG Core Server is connected to the internet, the best and most detailed approach will be to contact us via Setup | Contact Support in PRTG's web interface. This approach automatically attaches a support bundle which allows us to directly analyze your current configuration.

Best,
Sebastian
