PRTG Core Server Service doesn't start

Votes:

0

We're installing the full-licensed version of PRTG on a secured server.

After the installation, the Core Server Service will not start. It seems to be hung, just shows "starting" in the services console.

We did have the free version installed on this machine previously. Per the emailed instructions we received with our license key, the old version was not uninstalled prior to the new install.

The server has no outbound internet access. We did try installing the root certs as recommended in another post here.

Dear trackhntr,

Thank you for your knowledge base post.

Please open the PRTG Administration Tool on the PRTG Core Server and navigate to the Service Start/Stop tab. Do you receive any error message after starting the Core Server here?

Please provide me a full-screen screenshot from the current error message, as it will allow me to better understand the described situation.

Kind regards,
Sebastian

Hello trackhntr,

Please contact us directly via PRTG's "Contact Support" ribbon in the lower right corner of the web interface. It will allow me to have an insight view of your current installation and PRTG Core Server logs.

Thank you,
Sebastian
