Hello Paessler Support Team,

the following error occured if we query a windows performance counter from a stond alone Windows-2012 server in the same subnet. The PRTG Core Server is Active-Directory member, the target server not.

Mit Hilfe der angegebenen Anmeldedaten konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden. Bitte stellen Sie sicher, dass sie nicht nur für das Zielsystem, sondern auch für das System mit der Probe gültig sind. (Leistungsindikator-Fehler # 0xB0000004)

The credentials are correct, firewall was temporarily disabled and wmi sensors at the same system works fine.

Hello Peter,

Please see this knowledge base post in which my colleague Greg explained why it is not possible to monitor Performance Counters on a machine which is not part of the domain.
