Map keeps loading

Recently we've added webcam video to our Map like stated here (https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/9263-how-can-i-show-up-to-date-weather-information-webcam-and-radar-images-in-prtg-s-maps)

Ever since our map keeps giving us the state "Loading".

Is this normal behavior since the video stream is continuous? Or should the Loading box dissappear normally?

Do you see anything in the browser console? Are you using PRTG via HTTPS, but the iframe being HTTP only? Then it might be a CORS related issue...

I had to turn it down to http since I was getting no video at all on https

Ctrl + Shift + i for Chrome and Firefox :) Okay, so both pages use plain ol' HTTP?

Console gives me the following:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 (Unauthorized)

In the stream URL I give the user and password. The video stream just works though on the map. The only issue I have is that the page keeps saying "loading"

The map does freeze after an hour or so.

So the error comes from the Alerts overview.

When I switch back to HTTPS, I have no errors. Any change I can get the video stream when I'm on HTTPS?

Does the video camera have any options to switch to HTTPS? What vendor/model is it?

Sadly the camera has no HTTPS options. Its a cheap Chinese thing from "Wanscam".

Then the easier option would likely be to secure the camera access, like this :) Then it should be easy to implement in a PRTG map.
