Elahe,

I believe PRTG will show the interface in an Error state if the interface is turned admin down.

Do you have an interface you can test this with?

Benjamin , As i know PRTG show's an Error on an interface in two different options : 1 - " show alarm for "disconnected" states

2 - show alarm when disconnected , but ignore when deactivated

I've set my interfaces on : show alarm when disconnected , but ignore when deactivated , in this case PRTG cannot show any alarms when an UP/UP interface has been disconnected by one of my colleagues ( shut down command issued ). the sensor keeps on showing green status ,and It just alert me when an interface goes down. Is there any solution for that? I'm really in need of it. thanks in advance.

Elahe90,

Apologies, but I do not think we can handle alerting in the fashion you're requesting.

Let me refer you to the following KB.

How can I propose new features or sensors for PRTG?
