Mass changing of Vmware virtual machine power state handling

Votes:

0

I have connected PRTG to our vCenter environment and as expected is has picked up all the Virtual machines.

I would now like to change the VMware Virtual Machine Settings default handling of power options for all machines. Either by changing the default behavior or finding a method to mass change the option.

Currently the setting is set to...... Ignore "powered off" state (default)

I would like the default or at least all my machines to be set to... Alarm when VM is "powered off"

How can i achieve this?

Thanks

While you can't modify the default settings of the sensors for new ones, you can use Multi-Edit to modify multiple existing Sensors at once and change the corresponding setting for all of them.
