User Story

As a PRTG User, when I switch between devices in PRTG desktop, I want the currently selected tab to remain selected on the new device.

Details of User Story

For example if I have "Device A" selected and the "Settings" tab selected, and I switch to "Device B" the "Settings" tab should still be selected.

The current behavior is that when a new device is selected I go back to the overview tab. This makes comparing multiple devices especially tedious.

Instead of being able to compare settings on Device A and Device B by flipping back and forth I instead have to:

Select Device A, Select Settings tab Select Device B, Select Settings tab

Instead I want to be able to: Select Device A, Select Settings tab Select Device B (settings tab should be remembered)

Acceptance criteria

  • Criterion #1 Switching between devices, the current tab should be remembered. (It shouldn't default back to the overview tab)
  • Criterion #2 Switching between sensors the current tab should be remembered. (It shouldn't default back to the overview tab) This basically gives us a set of cornerstones that need to be there in order for the feature to be implemented.
