Monitoring Linux running on Linux machine via SNMP using PRTG

Votes:

0

Hi, I am new to PRTG and would like to monitor running processes on a Linux machine via SNMP. When a Linux machine is restarted the index of the service changes, so ideally the check would be done by looking for the name in the SNMP tree using HOST-RESOURCES-MIB. Any ideas please?

Thank you :)

Hi there,

Could you elaborate what you mean by "Linux on Linux"? If you want to monitor processes, then please use the following guide which also offers a template:

Best regards.
