Creating a group with different devices

Hi!

I want to build a map that monitors networks with a location based system. To make this clear I want to start with a picture of our building. Then I want like 1 floor, 2 floor and so on. Then rooms and in the rooms I want to exactly show where devices are.

Now my problem: I want to have like a "First Floor" group, but we have our devices in an order that is like: Switches, PC's, Server and so on. Is there a way to pick devices out of different groups to monitor rooms, floors and so on?

Hi wellpott,

You can use the Library Feature of PRTG. With the Libraries feature in PRTG, you can create special views of your device tree with up-to-the-minute monitoring status information, arranged the way you want it.

You are right, this is not possible by default. However, you can add a Library as sunburst diagram in PRTG. Therefore, please follow this link: https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/59942-how-can-i-use-a-status-icon-of-a-device-in-maps-which-only-considers-specific-sensors
