User Story

As a PRTG User, I want a sensor that reports when an switch port goes to the err-disable state.

Details of User Story

I am a network engineer in a large enterprise. We have hundreds of switches. Recently we have had issues with unicast floods and/or spanning tree protocol issues crashing switches. We're looking to make some changes to STP and implementing unicast flood prevention. I would like a sensor that reports when a port goes to the err-disable state so I can quickly determine the root cause without digging through the logs of several dozen switches.

Acceptance criteria

  • Ideally, I'd like to see this as a single sensor per device, not per port
