Is it possible to extract whole log entries into a file?

Votes:

In the Web UI, log entries are printed only 500 lines and the filter setting were not applied to the results.

Can you provide an api code that extracts the whole log entries into a file?

Please let me know the maximum number of lines and how to configure the retention period .

Thanks in advance

Hi Jonathan,

This is possible by using a Third Party Tool, kindly take a look at the last comment for direct links.

Thanks for your support,

I checked that PRTG only stores the last 30 days worth of logs in the default setting.

Should I increase the value of 'Logfile Records' on Historic Data Purging to view the log for more than 30 days on Web UI?

Hello Jonathan,

This depends on your needs. If you want to log messages for more than 30 days in the future, you can increase the value.
