Virtual machine moving between HyperVisors and software activation

Currently we are using a virtual machine dedicated for PRTG. Moving the virtual machine between different HyperVisors will generate activation problems on the product.

Basically what we want its a replica of the PRTG virtual machines between hypervisors. Failing one physical HyperVisor server we will activate the VM on the replica server.

Hope to have explained the situation clearly.

Hi there,

If I understand you correct, you want to run a clone besides your PRTG Core Server on a different HyperVisor. I would recommend instead torestore your PRTG Core Server from the PRTG Auto-Backup if the physical server fails.
