User Story
As a PRTG User, I want more flexibility on PRTG Desktop Pop Up Notification
Details of User Story
Currently PRTG Desktop's notifications pop up immediately when a sensor changes state. However, notification triggers are set up with duration timers to only notify if sensor remains in a particular state for the defined time. This discrepancy causes some confusion initially when learning to use the app and causes too many popups--on every spike there's a notification.
Acceptance criteria
- It would be great if app notifications follow trigger rules on duration of state before alerting
- Or perhaps a simpler system like allowing us to define duration or intervals for each sensor priority rating (1-5). Thus high priority sensors can be set to alert immediately while lower priority sensors alert only if it remains in that state. Additional flexibility could be added by allowing us to configure this separately for warning states and down/error states.
