Delete devices and reset data

Hi,

We are essentially wanting to start again with our PRTG platform and therefore we want to delete all devices and clear all historic monitoring data.

I have found a few older articles -

https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/1553-how-can-i-change-the-settings-on-multiple-sensors-or-devices-at-one-time https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/59859-resetting-data

Deleting devices: Devices > Device List > Select devices to delete and press delete Clearing historic data: Either rename the "Monitoring Database" folder which will delete monitoring data or the other method, to reset the installation completely is to rename the complete directory "PRTG Network Monitor"

Are you able to clarify the below -

1/ Are these still the recommended methods? 2/ What exactly does "Reset the installation completely", do? Does it reset everything including users, groups, community string etc?

clear prtg reset

Hello,

both articles are still valid. And yes, if you take the folder away which includes the configuration file, everything is reset.
