Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel

Hello,

We are trying to monitor URLs [HTTP requests] with the EXE script sensor and script on this page https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/47373-can-i-check-for-specific-http-response-codes-with-prtg. I have been getting "Query Failed: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel" in 4 out of the 6 URLs that we are trying to monitor. I am setting the URL as "https://......URL....." How can I by-pass this error ? Is there an alternate to the sensor that I set up ?

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

This seems to be a issue with the certificate that is being used. A similar issue is being discussed (and a workaround is provided) here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11696944/powershell-v3-invoke-webrequest-https-error/15841856

You would have to adjust the script so that it trusts all certificates, this way avoiding the error.

Kind regards,
