Matching on multiple IP ranges with DNS v2 sensor?

Votes:

0

I am using the very cool new DNS v2 sensor to monitor DNS mappings for key sites that I rely on. One of those is Office 365, but the challenge I am having is that they use multiple different IP ranges for a particular DNS name (see details here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/urls-and-ip-address-ranges?view=o365-worldwide).

I know that I can put in a wildcard for a single IP range, but is it possible to list more than one possible IP range in the filter criteria?

The problem I'm having now is that when Microsoft shifts from one range to another (which they do relatively frequently), my sensor begins failing and I to either change the filter criteria or pause the sensor.

Hello there,

I'm afraid this is not possible. You only can add one filter since this is a wildcard-filter.

Felix,

Thanks for the quick reply. How can I make a request that this feature be added to PRTG in the future?

Thanks, John
