User story

As a PRTG user, I want when I clone a sensor using REST API, I would like to get back the ID of the new sensor as well.

Details of user story

I would like to clone sensors and then also customize the "REST Query" of the cloned sensor. But when I clone a sensor, I don't get anything back. It would be good to at least get the ID of the new sensor back so that I can then make changes to it. You can get the list of sensors and see which sensor has been added. But to get the new sensor ID back would be easier and more intuitive.

Acceptance criteria

  • Calling the REST API to clone a sensor returns the sensor ID of the new sensor.
