User story

As a PRTG user, I want the ability to have sensors use a proxy autoconfiguration script (or use the probes system configuration for proxy autoconfiguration)

Details of user story

We support international locations, and we need to proxy certain destinations to ensure they are reachable to our users, we also wish to monitor the website destinations availability with PRTG. Currently the PRTG probe supports proxying all destinations, this negates the ability to monitor some destinations directly, and other destinations over the proxy.

Acceptance criteria

  • Criterion #1

A probe will parse a proxy autoconfiguration (pac) file then use the appropriate path to reach a website destination, either via proxy or via direct as indicated in the pac file.
