User story

I need an easier way to clear the historical data for one or more sensors. We have had instances where there were issues with a device/network and I want to clear the data to reset the min/max and averages so we can get accurate data of the new configuration.

Details of user story

Add an option in the menu bar, above delete or somewhere similar, when selecting a sensor to clear its historical data. I have seen several KB article entries mentioning that sensor data can be cleared by locating files on the PRTG server that match their ID, as well as flushing all graph data. Clearing all sensor data in this manner is tedious at best and at worst could be severely problematic. When dealing with more than a couple dozen sensors it is unusable advice.

Acceptance criteria

  • When there is a way from the UI to clear the historical data for one or more sensors.
