User story

As a PRTG user, I want to be able to monitor HPE primera storages. Currently there are 3PAR Storage sensors added to PRTG, but after testing, those don't work for storages that are not part of the 3par line but only primera ones like the HPE Primera C630. It would be cool if those sensors would also work for primeras since the build of those 2 are very similar. The cages for example are already found by the 3par sensor, but after adding it goes into a failure.

Details of user story

As described already in the User Story, I would like to have the Sensors that currently still in beta also to be working for primera only or another extra sensors that work similar. Important are the cage details, to see if a hardware component fails and the LUN details to see their current state and % of free space.

Acceptance criteria

  • Cage Sensor - Overall State/ Drives State/ Power Supply State
  • LUN Sensor - Overall State/ Current % of used space This basically gives us a set of cornerstones that need to be there in order for the feature to be implemented.
