IPFIX Sensors Setup

I have setup IPFIX Sensors and I can confirm in a packet capture on the PRTG server that IPFIX messages are making it to the server, but I nothing is showing up in my IPFIX sensors. I am not really sure where to go from here. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks!

Hi berdman,

What specific version of PRTG are you currently running and how do you currently assure that IPFIX packages are making it to the PRTG Core Server?

Best,
Sebastian

We are running 22.1.75.1594 x64. I used wireshark to make sure my device is sending the IPFiX messages to PRTG. I can see them in the packet capture, but I never see the sensors populating any data.

Hi,

Please download our NetFlow Tester. It is also able to test IPFIX flows.

Important: Pause the IPFIX sensor within PRTG. This is necessary to prevent the Port from being used while running the NetFlow Tester. Afterwards, run the NetFlow Tester on the same Probe (either Local Probe or Remote Probe) that has the affected sensor, configure the Tester properly and provide me with the results as screenshot.

Best,
Sebastian
