User story

As a PRTG user, I want to see static lines in graphs together with a traffic graph. This to illustrate and give better visibility of how close a link is to 100% utilization.

Details of user story

Today we use factory sensors for this purpose, we import a traffic graph and add a static line to show link utilization. This is not a good workaround. The reason is that the factory sensor is a sensor with very high performace impact on the system. So we would like to solve this on another way. It is not very useful for us to purchase a new PRTG license for every 50 factory sensor.

Acceptance criteria

  • Have a new type of sensor that could get traffic data and add static lines that have low system impact.
